The Glenlivet distillery was named distillery of the year at the San Francisco World Spirits competition.

The Glenlivet distillery was named distillery of the year at the San Francisco World Spirits competition.

Chivas Brothers, the Scotch whisky and premium gin business of Pernod Ricard, also picked up a double gold medal and five gold medals at the 2009 event.

Glenlivet 18 Year Old was awarded a double gold for the second year running while Glenlivet 15 Year Old and Glenlivet 21 Year Old both scooped Gold medals.

Aberlour won a Gold medal for its 12 Year Old expression and both Beefeater London Dry gin 47% and Plymouth gin won gold medals.
