Diageo GB boss to head up Northern Europe

Diageo GB managing director Benet Slay has been promoted to managing director for Northern Europe.

Diageo GB managing director Benet Slay has been promoted to managing director for Northern Europe.

His GB replacement is Simon Litherland, who was managing director of a joint venture between Diageo, Heineken and Nambia breweries, called Brandhouse South Africa.

Slay’s new patch includes France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the Nordics and Benelux. He will remain on the Diageo Europe exec team and on the Drinkaware Trust board of trustees.

Both appointments take effect on 1 July 2009.
