Sir Cliff Richard has appointed a new distributor for his range of wines.

Chalié Richards has been appointed to distribute Vida Nova and Onda Nova.  The agreement covers the UK and selected international markets - including Eastern Europe and China, and is effective immediately.

Chalié Richards managing director Bob Rishworth said: ”I have generally dismissed celebrity wines as being a marketing gimmick, but having tasted the Vida Nova and Onda Nova range I can honestly say that I was bowled over by the quality.”

The wine is made at the Adega do Cantor (winery of the singer) at Guia in the Algarve, and is a joint venture between three vineyard owners, Sir Cliff Richard, Max Birch the winemaker, and Nigel Birch.

The range consists of Vida Nova and Onda Nova.  Vida Nova has an RRP of £7.49 and is available as a Tinto with Aragonês, Syrah, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet, as a Rosé with Aragonês and a touch of Syrah, and as a Reserva Syrah Aragonês blend at £10.99.  Onda Nova is available as a Rosé with Aragonês, and as a Tinto with Syrah, and has an RRP of £7.99.  The range is targeted at independent and multiple on trade and selected off trade outlets.
