Israel/UK: Rimon Winery appoints Cert Octavian for UK distro

29 October, 2009

Family owned Israeli wine producers Rimon Winery have appointed Cert Octavian to distribute their new range of pomegranate wines to the UK.

Cert Octavian will handle Rimonís dry red, port and dessert wines as the producer begins its expansion plan into the UK market.

Cert Octavian will transport the product direct from the winery, which is 3000 feet above sea level, in Hills of Galilee, Israel, to a storagage facility at Cert Octavianís Hoddesdon Service Centre in the UK prior to local and national distribution.

The contract will also include promotional packing undertaken on site at Hoddesdon, where stock will be picked and reworked into Christmas gift packs.

Anthony Finlayson Green, managing director of Cert Octavian said: ďWe were able to demonstrate to Rimon Winery the significant benefits of our one stop logistics operation. We will manage their whole requirement, meeting their primary UK need to deliver into Central London and fulfil their promotional gift needs during the festive season. This provided Rimon with an unequalled all embracing package and was therefore attractive to a customer with real potential to increase its supply in the UK.Ē
