Hennessy has partnered with The Pinnacle Guide to launch a new initiative called the Hennessy MyWay Global Residency Program.
The concept is a structured, multi-week international residency initiative that embeds top bartenders from the Hennessy MyWay Challenge within some of the world’s best cocktail bars.
As an alternative to standard bar takeovers the concept is inspired by the culinary industry, where chefs often spend months in placement in specific restaurants learning from other top chefs.
“The culinary world has known for generations that a proper stage can be a genuinely career-defining experience. We believe the same is entirely possible for bartenders. The Hennessy MyWay Global Residency Program is our commitment to making that a reality,” said Dan Dove, co-founder of The Pinnacle Guide.

As part of the programme, each resident will spend an extended period embedded within their host venue: working within its team, learning its operational philosophy and developing their skills in a different market, while contributing their own knowledge in return.
The programme is fully funded with Hennessy covering accommodation throughout each residency and meeting relocation and travel costs while the host venues will be drawn from The Pinnacle Guide’s global network of bars.
The Pinnacle Guide will ensure that every placement is built on a solid educational foundation: developing the framework for each residency, supporting both the resident and the host venue throughout, and holding the standard of the programme from start to finish.
“The Hennessy MyWay program has always been about identifying and nurturing outstanding talent. This partnership gives those individuals something exceptional to aim for, and a genuinely transformative experience when they get there,” added Jordan Bushell, manager of trade advocacy & global ambassador, Hennessy.
The Pinnacle Guide was founded by Hannah Sharman-Cox, Siobhan Payne and Dove in 2024. It is a global recognition system which distinguishes itself with its transparent and inclusive approach, offering an equal opportunity for bars of all sizes and locations to showcase their exceptional offerings.
