We launched The World’s Most Admired Whiskies in 2021 as the third addition to our Admired trilogy with the view to capture an annual snapshot of the ever-changing reputations within world whisky.

Investment and interest in whisky have never been greater so we assembled a world class voting panel of geographically and demographically diverse buyers, bar owners, writers, educators, and whisky specialists, to match. We consider the Academy the most influential group of whisk(e)y experts ever assembled and believe the annual ranking is a reflection of that power.
