The World’s Best Bar, Hong Kong’s Bar Leone, has announced a glassware collection in collaboration with Swedish designer BOBO.

The Popolare Collection features four pieces inspired by Italian bar culture and 90s football heritage.

The Highball, The Spritz, The Rock, and The Martini are each designed for the “high-volume environment of professional bars while honouring vintage Italian heritage”.

“Bar Leone has always been about elevating simplicity,” said Lorenzo Antinori, co-founder of Bar Leone.

“Popolare is built in the same spirit; a glass made for every day, without losing the craft. To us, casual and elegance have always been able to live in the same place.”

Like Bar Leone, the collection draws from traditional neighbourhood bar culture that birthed the aperitivo ritual alongside the Italian bar popolare of the 1980s.

“With Popolare, we wanted to create glassware that honours the Italian heritage Bar Leone is built on, while bringing it into modern hospitality,” said Fredrik Blom, Founder of BOBO. “That comes with its own set of challenges: a robust design that still has to feel refined and balanced. The shapes take you back to the aperitivo era, carried into the bars of today. A sort of contemporary glassware nostalgia.”
