Whisky Live heads to Polish city Sopot

11 May, 2017

Whisky Live will be hosted in Sopot, Poland for the first time in the festival’s history this June.

Whisky Live is a festival that runs each year in cities such as London, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Paris and showcases more than 100 different whisky varieties from more than 10 countries.

Jarosław Buss, festival organizer, said: "The last few years have seen an increase in the number of whisky lovers throughout the country. In Tricity, the situation is no different. It is a region characterised by dynamic economic growth.

Three years ago Warsaw hosted the festival but now Sopot, located within the metropolitan area of Poland known as Tricity, will take charge of the event on 3 June.

As well as tasting and judging whisky, the show will also hold master class sessions and investment training for visitors.

Buss added: “Many new businesses are started and there is no element as favourable for business talks as a glass of whisky.”
