Wine Tourism Awards 2014 launches

30 October, 2013

Drinks International has launched the third edition of the Wine Tourism Awards, the global competition that recognises excellence, innovation and creativity in the booming wine tourism sector.

Transforming a winery or region into a tourist destination involves a lot of planning and investment but, as the Wine Tourism Awards has borne witness over the last few years, it is one of the best ways to boost  profile and grow sales.

Drinks International has assembled an independent panel of experts to judge the 2014 entries in the following six categories: Best Visitor Centre, Best Food & Wine Matching Experience, Best Wine Event, Best Accommodation, Best Promotional Body and Best Social Media & Digital Initiative.

Be it wineries, cooperatives or wine bodies representing whole regions, winners of the 2014 Wine Tourism Awards will benefit from brand profiling in Drinks International’s magazine and website, plus a winner’s promotional toolkit, which includes certificates and digital artwork of medals.

Judging will take place during January 2014, with results published in the March issue of Drinks International - which will be distributed at the world’s largest wine show, Prowein - and on drinksint.com.

Entry forms can be downloaded from drinksint.com here and must be submitted by 13 December 2013.
