Follador enters travel retail

Sparkling wine brand Follador has launched its premium range of Proseccos to travel retail.

The wines will be represented by World of Patria in the market and are due to debut at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition.

The Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore range includes Cuvee ‘Torri di Credazzo’ Extra Dry, Di Cartizze, Millesimato Brut and Millesimato Extra Dry.

According to the brand, the wines are presented in an “elegant four-colour printed tubes with a unique illustration designed to convey the brand’s understated, premium Italian credentials”.

The gift packs are priced at £19 (€24) and the wines range from 11.5-12% abv.

Cristina Follador, marketing director Follador, said:  “We recognise the time is now right to establish our brand internationally and travel retail presents us with the perfect shop window to do this.”

What is the point of a wine trade fair? it’s a question that can take on an almost existential quality when, let’s say, you’re wrestling with the 3am demons in a hotel room with wafer-thin windows overlooking a roaring périphérique in the light-industrial banlieues of a Fench city.
