Last night (Tuesday December 3), I attended a tasting of Balblair vintages. We tasted five whiskies, 2003, 1997, 1990, 1983 and 1969, prefaced by a glass of Balblair’s base spirit.
According to Diageo, consumption of alcohol in Spain is shifting from on to off trade and ready to serve cocktails are gaining popularity.
The company has also launched a Pampero Mojito in Italy and Portugal. The dark rum Mojito is also €9.99 (70cl) and 14.9%ABV.
According to Diageo, the past two years have shown an increase in on-trade cocktail consumption and, more recently, a shift towards at home drinking.
