Last night in London kilts and headdresses collided as two very distinct worlds united. It’s hard to imagine there has ever been a more amusingly incongruous marriage than Scotland and Brazil. Certainly the marketing minds behind Ballantine’s Brasil have been having fun with the idea. The launch's accompanying cocktail creations include the Highland Samba and the Glen Coco.
Entries have been invited from all member companies, across a range of price points and categories. The selection will be made by a panel of judges including Masters of Wine and industry specialists.
The Hero Selection is the first initiative in the ‘Taste a New Romania’ campaign, designed to redress trade opinion of Romanian wines. The Hero Selection will be unveiled on the Romanian Winegrowers stand at the London International Wine Fair (LIWF).
Paul Evans, UK spokesperson for Romanian Winegrowers said: ”It is critical that the trade starts to taste Romanian wine again. There has been such huge investment and staggering increases in quality over the last few years that there is finally a story to tell. The Hero Selection will provide a starting point, a chance to start exploring the potential of this country.”
