Two major drinks companies are set to launch US-successful products into the UK market.

Alcohol awareness charity Drinkaware has called on parents to take the lead against extreme drinking challenges like NekNominate on social media sites. 

Molson Coors Brewing Company has promoted Brian Tabolt to the role of global corporate controller.

Diageo has launched a £5 million youth training and employment programme in Scotland. 

Chivas Brothers is to launch a marketing campaign, logo and website for its Aberlour single malt Scotch whisky.

Diageo’s sales volume declined in each of its global regions during the second half of 2013, while net sales slowed to +1.8%, impacted by downtrading in Asia-Pacific.

UK-based craft distiller Two Birds spirits has added a cocktail gin to its portfolio. Two Birds Cocktail Gin aims to deliver a stronger juniper profile but still at 40% abv. The launch is exclusively for the ontrade.
