According to WineGB, wine producers across the UK are hailing 2018 ‘the harvest of the century’ following a record-breaking summer due to unusually hot climates.

Seven Kentish wineries, Biddenden Vineyards, Chapel Down, Domaine Evremond, Gusbourne, Hush Heath Estate, Simpsons Wine Estate and Squerryes, have joined forces to form The Wine Garden of England.

Camel Valley, the Cornish wine producer, has been awarded a royal warrant, by Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales. The warrant has been granted for its English sparkling wines.

Managing director of English sparkling wine vineyard, Hambledon, Ian Kellett has announced plans to expand the estate’s facilities in response to growing demand.

English Wine Producers (EWP) has launched new branding for this year’s English Wine Week which takes place from May 24 to June 1.

The United Kingdom Vineyards Association has announced the results of this year’s English & Welsh Wine of the Year competition.
