Rioja’s DO (The Consejo Regulador de Rioja DOCa) has launched its new brand identity.

The Consejo Regulador de la DOCa Rioja has submitted to pressure and brought in new designations for smaller producers and individual vineyard owners.

Spain, which claims to be the world’s biggest exporter of wine by volume, needs to add value to both bottled and bulk sales.

The generic body for the Ribera del Duero wine-producing region of Spain has announced the launch of its first-ever major promotion in the UK.

The Control Board of DOCa Rioja (The Consejo Regulador Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja) has officially rated the 2013 vintage “good”.

Spain may be Old World but it is arguably the least Old World of the major wine producing countries. Christian Davis reports

The generic body representing the famous Rioja win-producing region in north west Spain has announced that it is to spend  8 million Euros on promoting its wines this year.

Pernod Ricard has announced the disposal, by its subsidiary Domecq Bodegas, of Spanish wine brands Marqués de Arienzo and Viña Eguίa. The sale also includes the related Bodega and 358 hectares of vineyards and lands.
