Bacardi appoints new global travel retail MD

Bacardi has appointed a new managing director for travel retail. Andrew Carter is the new managing director of the Bacardi Global Travel Retail division. 

Carter is currently global gin category director at Bacardi Global Brands.  He will begin his new position in August. 

Séamus McBride, president and CEO of Bacardi said: “Since Bacardi Global Travel Retail was set up as a stand-alone division in 2006 it has ensured that our portfolio of premium brands continues to thrive in what is one of the world’s most challenging and dynamic marketplaces.

“Over his 13-year career in the drinks industry, Andrew has developed the depth of expertise and breadth of skills ideally suited to his new role.  I am certain that Andrew will lead the travel retail team to even greater success in the future.”
 The new global gin category director will be announced shortly.
