In the 12 months ending 31 March 2009, Aberlour also gained category leadership in France, by volume, supported by several new initiatives including the launches of Aberlour 18 Year Old and Aberlour 10 Year Old sherry cask finish.

Brand director for malts at Chivas Brothers, Neil Macdonald, said: “We’ve taken a long term view with investing in the product quality of Aberlour, resulting in a stunning range of whiskies, multiple awards and now this fantastic sales milestone.”
