Diageo hits the high notes with EMI Music

Diageo has teamed up with EMI music to develop music-based projects across Diageo’s  brands in Europe and North America.

Diageo has teamed up with EMI music to develop music-based projects across Diageo’s  brands in Europe and North America.

The first project is the release of Guinness 250 – Music from the TV ads. The compilation marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the lease by Arthur Guinness on the famous St James’s Gate Brewery, The CD will feature 17 of the most memorable tracks used to advertise Guinness.

Graeme Rogan, EMI UK’s senior director new channel development said: “Our aim is to proactively enter into strategic partnerships with global brands, such as Guinness and develop additional revenue streams for the benefit of all parties.” 

Guinness 250 – Music from the TV ads will be released through EMI Music’s catalogue division on 23 February 2009 in the UK, US and a number of countries in Europe still to be confirmed.
