100 Pipers rocks out in Thailand

Thailand’s top Scotch whisky import 100 Pipers is reinforcing its presence in South East Asia with the sponsorship of ‘Bangkok 100 Rock Festival 2008’ – a deal worth 50 million Thai Baht (US$1.5m).

Thailand’s top Scotch whisky import 100 Pipers is reinforcing its presence in South East Asia with the sponsorship of ‘Bangkok 100 Rock Festival 2008’ – a deal worth 50 million Thai Baht (US$1.5m). The event is expected to attract 30,000 visitors and will take place at the Thai Army Sports Stadium in Bangkok on 29 and 30 November. Bands include the Manic Street Preachers; Ash and Melee. 

Jeffrey Kimble, director of marketing and development at Pernod Ricard Thailand, said: “Many of our consumers are passionate about this genre of music, and so the sponsorship serves as the perfect platform for engaging with them on an immense scale.’’
