l Bacardi Global Travel Retail has named Jason Druckenmiller (below) as its second roving brand ambassador on selected Celebrity Cruise voyages. He will present mixology seminars and staff training on key Bacardi brands. He will also host samplings for onboard duty-free shops.

l King Power International has listed Patrón tequila at 13 of its largest duty-free stores across Thailand. The brand is now available in more than 60 airports worldwide.



l US Customs and Border Protection police at Ne wark Liberty international airport have seized four bottles of liquid heroin disguised as duty-free liquor from a Colombian traveller with a street value of around US$1 million.

l Diageo Global Travel & Middle East has launched Bulleit bourbon into America's duty-free, following its growing success in regional domestic markets. The brand will be supported by a range of marketing activities, such as tastings and ensuring premium in-store brand visibility.

l Distilleria Bottega and its duty-free customers have raised e9,000 for the Breast Health Institute via an in-store promotion on its Il Vino dei Poeti Rosé wine, which saw the Italian company donate US$1 for each bottle sold.
